Kindness Week

The week of November 14 to 18 was kindness week at École Campbelltown and Elk Island Public Schools. Students participated in a variety of activities that emphasized the importance of our words and actions. Here are a few pictures from our week.

La semaine de la gentillesse.

Students wrote examples of ways they can spread kindness throughout the school on orange strips of paper. A paper chain was made with all the strips and we were able to write "Sois gentil!" (Be kind) with our paper chain!
Grade 6 students were given the name of a fellow classmate and asked to write a sincere message to them. Here are a few of their messages.

Wrinkled hearts were used to demonstrate how how words and actions can have a powerful impact.
Students had so many messages of kindnes that we found ourselves with a much longer paper chain than needed! The extra chain was used to add a bit of colour to our Christmas tree!
