The spring fundraiser was very successful again this year. We would like to thank all of the kids for their work in practicing their words, the support of the teachers and families, and the hard-working Spell-a-thon team (Geri Olney and her helpers) that pulled it together. Way to go!
We would also like to send a great big thank you to Susan Hugens for an amazing job on the I’ve Out Grown it Sale. Many thanks to the parents/staff that helped price and organize items, set up/take down the event, man the donation table and run the concessions. Congratulations on an excellent job!
In May, four more council sponsored events will be taking place.
For the kids – The Grade Twos will be off to the symphony, and the Grade Sixes will participate in hands-on science experiment review that will pull together the major concepts from science this year (Bennett Centre).
For the parents - The ECSC likes to support the school’s effort in recognizing parent volunteers. We realize that your help both inside and outside of school helps to make École Campbelltown one of the best schools in Sherwood Park. We will be contributing several goodies and treats to the Volunteer Appreciation Tea on May 25th. We will also take the opportunity to recognize the hard work, time, energy and patience that all of the staff contributes to our school. The Staff Appreciation luncheon will be held on May 28th.
Just a reminder - the Annual General Meeting for the councils will take place May 11th at 7 pm. This is an extremely important meeting as a year-to-date review of the finances and elections for the executive will take place. The roles of the executive can be found on the website under the Executive sub-tab within the ECSC tab. Any parent at École Campbelltown can be nominated for an executive position and every parent can vote. You are welcome to forward your intent to run in the election to the ECSC contact email at the bottom right of this webpage, as well nominations will be accepted at the meetings. Please plan to come. Babysitting will be available for $2/child. Please RSVP to the contact email on this page for babysitting.
